Taylor, Zachary (1784-1850), Signed document, one page, undated, on vellum, blank ship's passport, countersigned by John Clayton as Secretary of State, seal intact, cancelled with scalloping to top edge, 15 1/8 by 10 3/4 in. (fold lines, else very qood). Taylor documents as president are uncommon and these scalloped ships passports are considered some of the most beautiful documents available.
