Color illustrated card depicting Gagarin in his SK-1 helmet against a dramatic star field, with the printed red legend “12 ?????? 1961” honoring the date of Vostok 1. The postcard measures 4 x 5.75 inches and is boldly signed across the image in dark ink. Reverse credits artist L. Kotlyarov and bears a June 13, 1961 print date with a press run of 400,000 copies, priced at 2 kopeks. The card exhibits light age toning and minor corner wear, consistent with handling. A classic and highly desirable contemporary Soviet space relic signed by the first man in space.
Gherman Titov signed Soviet portrait postcard, issued 6 August 1961, the date of his historic Vostok 2 flight. Color head-and-shoulders image of Titov in uniform, boldly signed along the right side in dark ink. The postcard measures 4 x 6 inches. It is postally enhanced with a Polish 40 groszy “Loty w Kosmosie H. S. Titow” stamp and a 6.VIII.1962 Bydgoszcz cancellation, adding period space philatelic appeal. Reverse indicates publication by “Pravda,” with a print run of 1,000,000 copies. Light overall toning and minor handling wear. A strong example representing the second human spaceflight and the youngest man ever to orbit the Earth.
