Book Near Fine, jacket with some toning/wear (primarily to spine panel.) Overall excellent. A VERY SCARCE FIRST EDITION, CONTAINING Q & A INTERVIEWS WITH FAULKNER DURING HIS TRIP TO JAPAN IN 1955. The book is accompanied by a postcard from Ichiro Nishizaki to Dr. William Van O'Conner (Univ. of Minnesota), along with 5 photographs of Faulkner (taken during his trip.) Each photo has a manuscript caption on the rear, and most are inscribed to Dr. O'Conner by Ichiro Nishizaki (who appears in one of the photos, alongside Faulkner.)
