Richard Howell Signed Document

Richard Howell, Revolutionary War officer and Governor of New Jersey, document signed as Governor, Trenton, October 26, 1793. Howell directs the Treasurer of New Jersey to pay James Kinsey, Esq., two hundred pounds, being six months’ salary due to him as Chief Justice. Boldly signed “R. Howell” at lower right, with countersignature by Bowes Reed. Nicely mounted to a larger sheet with typed biographical notes about Howell and Kinsey.
