Black and white print of Nick Ut's photograph taken near Trang Bang, South Vietnam, on June 8, 1972, showing children, including nine-year-old Phan Thi Kim Phuc, fleeing a napalm strike, with South Vietnamese soldiers behind them. Inscribed and signed in blue ink in the margin: "To Douglas – Nick Ut 3-24-95." The photograph, taken for the Associated Press, won the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography and World Press Photo of the Year, and is one of the most important images of the Vietnam War. Ut took Kim Phuc to hospital after taking the picture, and the two remained lifelong friends. Condition: clean; probably a later print. This item will be accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from One of a Kind Collectibles.
