TLS, signed “W. Somerset. Maugham” in black ink, one page, 5.25" x 8.25", May 26, 1936. Letter to a Mrs. Allen reads: “Dear Mrs. Allen:- Here is an autograph which I am delighted to send you. Next time I am in America I shall be glad to sign your copy of Of Human Bondage myself if you like to send it to me. Yours sincerely W Somerset Maugham."

William Somerset Maugham ( 25 January 1874 – 16 December 1965)was an English playwright, novelist, and short-story writer. He was among the most popular writers of his era and reputedly the highest-paid author during the 1930s.
