Signed group consisting of a 5" x 7" photograph signed in ink by Leon Uris, and a 3.5" x 6.5" first-day cover signed by Mickey Spillane.

The Uris photograph depicts a dramatic wartime battlefield scene, thematically aligned with the author’s World War II service as a Marine Corps radioman in the South Pacific. Signed in dark ink along the lower portion. A handwritten notation on the reverse reads: “Leon Uris – Author ‘Battle Cry’ 1924–2003 Novelist ‘Exodus’ So. Pacific WWII Radioman.” Uris (1924–2003) achieved international prominence with Battle Cry (1953), drawn from his own wartime experience, and Exodus (1958), his sweeping historical novel that became a worldwide bestseller.

Accompanied by a 3.5" x 6.5" Will Rogers first day cover signed in ink by Mickey Spillane. The cachet features an illustrated portrait of Will Rogers with biographical text. Signed prominently across the right side in blue ink. Spillane (1918–2006), creator of private investigator Mike Hammer, was one of the most commercially successful crime writers of the 20th century, known for I, the Jury, Vengeance Is Mine, The Big Kill, My Gun Is Quick, and Kiss Me, Deadly.

Two bold literary autographs representing distinct pillars of postwar American fiction—wartime epic and hard-boiled crime. Overall fine condition.
