Mellon, Andrew – 2 Signed cards (1.75 x 3) signed “A. W. Mellon.” Card bears the printed inscription “Autograph of Secretary of the Treasury.” Financier and philanthropist who helped found the Gulf Oil Corporation; he also served as treasury secretary under Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover. In 1937 he donated his substantial art collection and $10 million to establish the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
