Manuscript LS "JA Garfield", 5x7, July 14 1880 to Governor John Beveridge acknowledging receipt & sending thanks, custom framed & matted with commemorative plate & over sized photo overall size 28" x26". Of historical note Garfield would be wounded by assassin less than year later (July 2 1881), dying from his wounds Sept 19 1881.
