Assassinated November 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. Rare D.S. "John F. Kennedy as President, 1p. folio, Washington, Nov. 16, 1961, a hand-engrossed calligraphic appointment for Carl Haverlin of New York, as a "Member of the Advisory Committee on the Arts (National Cultural Center)", co-signed by Secretary of State DEAN RUSK (1909 - 1994). Haverlin was a former vice president of the Mutual Broadcasting System who began his BMI career as director of station relations and became president in 1947.
