An Act of the Second Congress, The document reads, in Part: “Second Congress of the United States: At the First Session, begun and held at the City of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, on Monday, the twenty-fourth of October, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-one. An Act for the relief of David Cook and Thomas Campbell. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That David Cook a captain in the artillary in the late war, who being shot through the body at the battle of Monmouth ..... and....Thomas Campbell who recived repeated wounds for the service of the country......to recive purportional pensions for their service. Rare Document signed by our 2nd President. the document is beautifully archival framed with photo of a Jefferson portrait.
