                                                Rare Early Roosevelt Letter!

Fantastic ALS from Roosevelt to a Senator dated Nov. 10,1883. Good condition and dark writing, does have a stain in the shape of a line on the second page otherwise fine condition. Roosevelt letters form this early are quite scarce. Letter in full: "My Dear Senator, I am very glad that you are to be again in Albany, this time in a higher position, as our relations have always been friendly. I take the liberty of writing you in a personal matter. I am a candidate for the speakership, if you care to support me I should be greatly obliged if you would mention my name to the assembly man from your district and certainly would not forget the favor. In any rate I hope to have the pleasure of renewing our acquaintance, with much respect I am very sincerely yours, Theodore Roosevelt"
