Original ceremony program signed by Roosevelt from the day of the unveiling of this famous seated Lincoln monument. The bronze statue of a seated Lincoln was made by Gutzon Borglum the sculpture who later did Mount Rushmore. the Lincoln statue which is an historical landmark was dedicated by President Theodore Roosevelt on Memorial day in 1911. Borglum's creation was different than any other Lincoln statue that was made at the time, he made him on a bench where he is accessible to all of the people and not out of touch with every American, it is located next to the Essex County Courthouse in Newark, New Jersey. Size 5'x7" in good condition, nice large signature, some very minor soiling and a few brown marks above and below text on program but does not affect signature or image, comes with original transmittal envelope.
