Kennedy, John F. TV script signed (“John Kennedy”), for the Navy Log episode entitled PT 109, to actor Peter Miller, who played “McGuire” (for real-life PT 109 radio man John McQuire), 8.75 x 11 in, script dated 26 June 1957. Inscribed in blue ink on the cover, “To Peter Miller John Kennedy U.S. Senate Mass.” Miller played the role of 'McQuire' in this episode (for real-life radioman John McQuire), and his lines are circled throughout the script. Minor chipping and toning on the edges, but in overall fine condition.

Navy Log was an anthology series that presented stories from the history of the United States Navy. The Department of Defense and departments of the Navy cooperated with the production of the filmed 30-minute series. In conjunction with that cooperation, the Navy Information Office solicited suggestions for stories, accompanied by brief documentation, with a Navy Log Project Officer in charge. In August 1957, then-Senator John F. Kennedy was a technical adviser and guest for the "P. T. 109" episode of the program.

The episode is about the once-Lieutenant Kennedy’s heroic efforts during WWII to save his crew after their patrol boat had been cut in half by a Japanese destroyer and sank in the Pacific. The event made him a war hero and played a large part in winning over the American public in his rise in politics, eventually placing him in the White House.

John F. Kennedy (May 29, 1917 – November 22, 1963), often referred to by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th president of the United States from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. He was the youngest person to assume the presidency by election and the youngest president at the end of his tenure. Kennedy served at the height of the Cold War, and the majority of his foreign policy concerned relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba. A Democrat, Kennedy represented Massachusetts in both houses of the U.S. Congress prior to his presidency.
