Rare Autograph Document Signed when Cleveland was just 35 years old and in the capacity as Sheriff, signed after long handwritten letter explaining document by Cleveland, “Grover Cleveland / Sheriff of Erie Co.,” one page, 15" x 9”. On Superior Court Of Buffalo document. this document is reference to the list of jurors at a criminal term of the Superior Court of Buffalo on April 6th, 1872. The list does show who showed personally or was not found next to their names. Light soiling. Very good condition. Grover Cleveland served as Sheriff of Erie County from 1871-1873. He earned a reputation for fearlessness and incorruptibility and made sure that in his legal letter. Cleveland personally sprang the trap on two murderers, one convicted of stabbing his mother to death, the other of shooting a man over a card game.
