Fantastic autograph collection housed in a brown leather bound album, mostly on individual cards of the president Benjamin Harrison his cabinet and almost all of the governors of the US and it's Territories in 1889, including some famous Confederate Generals. In front cover there is a note that reads" My autographs of the president and Vice President.... and members of the Cabinet have been arranged in order of priority and those of the 13 original states...and balance of the states as they where admitted to the Union.." Signed on individual off-white cards by 57 politicians, with each card removably inserted on individual page. signers include: Benjamin Harrison, Levi Morton,James Blaine,(Sec. State),William Windom (Sec. Of Treasury) John Wanamaker(Post Master General), Redfield Proctor(Sec. Of War),William H.H.Miller (Attorney General), J. M. Rusk(Sec. Of Agriculture), plus Confederate Generals John B. Gordon, Fitzhugh Lee, and Simon Buckner. Remainder of the signatures are of various state governors and politicians.
