"Mamie Doud Eisenhower," 5" x 6 3/4" photo glued on an 8" x 9 1/2" piece of cardboard, signed and inscribed by the late First Lady. The piece has wear and tear along edges and corners, some discoloration, and a small smudge in her inscription but is in overall fine condition.
Mamie Eisenhower (November 14, 1896 – November 1, 1979) was the first lady of the United States from 1953 to 1961 as the wife of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Mamie married Dwight Eisenhower at age 19 on July 1, 1916. As First Lady, she entertained a wide range of foreign dignitaries. She was noted for her confident style and clothing choices. Mamie and Dwight Eisenhower were married for 52 years until his death in March 1969.
