"An American Life" by Ronald Reagan. Simon and Schuster, 1990, First edition, one of 2,000 copies signed by President Reagan (this being number 1164). Octavo. 748, [4, blank] pages. With signed limitation page inserted at front. Bound in publisher's deluxe binding of full blue morocco, front cover and spine ruled and stamped in gilt, two raised bands, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt. Fine. Housed in the original publisher's beautiful custom-made oak box with the Presidential Seal embossed in gilt on the top of the hinged lid, and lined in royal blue velveteen. The front drawer houses five of the six audiocassettes of President Reagan's speeches. One Cassette is missing#5. The Oak box is in very fine condition and still has the original packing styrofoam casing with presidential emblems on it for protection. A fine example of this handsome and impressive set.
