William Heath

William Heath a distinguished major general in the Continental Army (1737-1814) who organized and trained the undisciplined forces at Cambridge before the Battle of Bunker Hill. Partly-printed DS, signed “W. Heath,” one page, 8.25 x 13, September 6, 1796. Commonwealth of Massachusetts document in which Heath, as judge of the probate of wills, creates a letter of administration for a William Hyslop esq. estate. Prominently signed at the conclusion by Heath. In fine condition
