One page, 6.5" x 4.25", Newport, May 12, 1755, ordering Thomas Richardson to pay George Lanton "sixty nine pounds six shillings & six pence . . . in full . . . for the French mens boat[?] & charge the same to the colony." Countersigned by Jonas Nichols, Thomas Cranston, and Peter Bours. Smoothed folds with tears and top corners ripped with yellowing.
