Declaration Signer Robert Morris Endorsed Promissory Note. One partly-printed page, 7.5" x 4", Philadelphia, May 8, 1795. It reads: "Three years after date I promise to pay Robt. Morris Esq. or order Twenty five hundred Dollars," signed "Jno Nicholson." On the verso, Morris has signed "Robt. Morris" in very bold ink, resulting in show through on recto. Irregular margins, with a bit of paper loss at lower right corner affecting the very end of Nicholson's signature.
