A rare document signed by Stephen Jumel signed "Jumel & Desobry "1805 debenture on hogsheads of coffee imported by Jumel & Desobry on the Brig Eagle. Jumel, 1754-1832, made his fortune in the wine business after slave revolts drove him from his Haiti coffee plantations. He owned the Morris-Jumel mansion. His widow married Aaron Burr. The last time this document was sold was in 1914.
