A bi-fold textured cover containing a single-sheet marriage certificate with handwritten details of the marriage between "Charles B. Rogers and Mary Pickford" in Bel Air on the 26th of June 1937. Rogers' father B. H. Rogers is listed as one of the witnesses of the ceremony. Together with a black and white wallet-sized photo of Rogers and Pickford with innumerable leis around their necks, possibly taken on their honeymoon. 7 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches.
Gladys Marie Smith (April 8, 1892 – May 29, 1979), known professionally as Mary Pickford, was a Canadian-American stage and screen actress and producer with a career that spanned five decades. A pioneer in the US film industry, she co-founded Pickford–Fairbanks Studios and United Artists, and was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Pickford is considered to be one of the most recognizable women in history. This originated from Julien's sale of her estate in 2008.
