Gemini 7 cachet signed by Frank Borman. This is a Moscow-stamped cachet cover depicting the members of the ASTP flight, stamped 7/15/75. This is an unusual signed cover by both Vance Brand and Deke Slayton and the cover is listed in Winick as #1666.
Vance Brand (born May 9, 1931) is an American naval officer, aviator, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, and NASA astronaut. He served as a command module pilot during the first U.S.-Soviet joint spaceflight in 1975, and as commander of three Space Shuttle missions.
Deke Slayton (March 1, 1924 – June 13, 1993) was a United States Air Force pilot, aeronautical engineer, and test pilot who was selected as one of the original NASA Mercury Seven astronauts. He went on to become NASA's first Chief of the Astronaut Office and Director of Flight Crew Operations, responsible for NASA crew assignments.
