One of the most popular and prolific cowboy stars of the American screen, Hoot Gibson entered film in 1910 and appeared in well over a hundred one- and two-reelers before graduating to feature-length films in the early 1920s. He would continue as a star in nearly another 100 B Westerns through 1946.
