Vintage 1903 matte-finish 5 x 8.5 photo of George Dewey in his military uniform by the Clinedinst Studio of Washington, D.C., affixed to the original 7 x 12 studio mount, which is signed neatly in fountain pen "For Mrs. Tilghmanm with warm regards, from George Dewey Sept. 09". In fair condition, with toning and some staining from prior display, and silvering to the darker areas of the image. Framed and matted.
