TRUMAN, HARRY. ALS on letterhead of the Mayflower Hotel dated April 29, 1960, to Mr. Vernon L, Talbertt congratulating him on his 50th anniversary of service with the United States Senate. In part: “May you continue a long and active service. “Well done good and faithful servant.” Along with the envelope addressed to Mr. Talbertt by Truman and bearing Truman’s franking signature. The envelope alone represents an unusual presidential autograph.
