Massachusetts Bay Colony appointment of Samuel Bancroft, dated 16th July, 1776, at Watertown, County of Middlesex, bearing fifteen signatures, to include Dan Davis, Benjamin Austin, Wm. Phillips, General (Henry Watson) Powell, Caleb Cushing, W. Spooner, John Whitcomb, S. Holton, D. Sewall, B. White, etc., just two weeks after the United States proclaims its independence from Britain. Provenance: Rubenfine collection.
This is in poor condition and could use some restoration. Creases with some losses, stains, fading, losses to right side corners, glued to cardboard.
