1868 Second Edition Heath’s infallible Counterfeit Detector at Sight. HB Brown embossed composition cover, with gilt lettering. 37 pgs of text interspersed with 13 engraved plates by American, National and Continental Banknote Companies. Original tissue interleaves intact. Plus highly patriotic frontispiece picturing eagle, flags, treasury building street scene and heads of the seven di9gnateries”engraved and printed by the treasury department” Condition overall fine to very fine. Some minor chipping of spine, binding shaken however only one page loose and easily restored. Normal paper toning of text, plates on light card stock are clean and very fine condition
