TLS signed “J. M. Wainwright,” one page, 8 x 10.5, Headquarters Eastern Defense Command letterhead, December 26, 1945. Letter to Mr. Basil O'Connor, in full: "In response to your request sent to my headquarters in New York, I am inclosing herewith a statement concerning the work of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis which you may use, if you so desire, during the March of Dimes campaign." In fine condition, with three staples near the top edge.
