This is a great signed 10x15 Color Print of Maxim "Hiram S. Maxim", the British inventor of the Maxim gun, the first portable fully-automatic machine gun and held patents on mechanical devices such as the mousetrap, hair curling iron and steam pump,dated December 16,1906. Images of Maxim are quite scarce, but color images are virtually non existent. This wonderful image shows Hudson with what looks like a Mechanical Fish in the background This print, entitled "Into the Clouds", appeared in the December 15, 1904 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. Ther are some condition issues, has been mounted to cardboard and there is some toning from when it was framed and glue residue along the left edge, which can all be framed out of sight if wanted. Signature is clean.
