Nine autographed photographs including Harry Truman and George C. Marshall from the collection of Major Joseph R. Kreider, USAF, who was part of the Military Air Transport Service of 8608. Each photograph with inscription and in a black frame and glazed. Includes:

1) Harry Truman inscribed "Kindest regards to Major Joseph R. Kreider."

2) George C. Marshall (Secretary of Defense) inscribed "To Major Kreider with thanks for your skillful piloting and with warm regards."

3) Charles E. Wilson (Secretary of Defense) inscribed "To Major Joseph R. Kreider, USAF with warmest regards, 10-26-54." Noted verso "Sec of Defense 1952-57."

4) Robert Lovett (Secretary of Defense) inscribed "For Major Joseph R. Kreider, with admiration of his skill and my warm appreciation and regards." Also with an envelope attached with two letters signed by Robert Lovett and addressed to Kreider dated October 6th and December 27, 1952 thanking him for his services. Also included is a copy of the letter Kreider and his crew sent to Mr. Lovett in January 1953.

5) Robert Lovett (Secretary of Defense) inscribed "For Joseph R. Kreider, with appreciation and my kindest regards." Also marked verso, "Sec. of Defense 1951-52."

6) Charles E. Wilson (Secretary of Defense) along with his wife inscribed "January 4th 1955, To Major Kreider with kindest regards." Also with an envelope attached with a letter thanking Kreider and the crew of the "Dewdrop" for their services.

7) Robert McNamara (Secretary of Defense) inscribed "For Major Joe Kreider with more appreciation than I can express for his friendship and 'safe passage' around the world, July 1955."

8) John Foster Dulles (Secretary of State) inscribed "To Major Joe R. Kreider in happy recollection of our many fine flights together and best wishes. July 1956." Also with an envelope attached verso with a letter dated August 14, 1953 thanking Kreider and his crew of 1254th Air Transport Group (Special Missions) for their services.

9) Anna M. Rosenberg (Assistant Secretary of Defense) inscribed "To Joe Kreider The best pilot and with affectionate regards 1-15-53." Also with an attached envelope verso with a letter dated August 22, 1952 thanking Kreider and his crew for their services.

Together with a photograph of the crew of the DC-6 3240 for the Secretary of Defense from 1955-56 at the Washington National Airport and a log of President Truman's Trip to Wake Island, October 11-18, 1950 compiled by Lt. Commander William M. Rigdon, USN. Inscribed "Lt/Col Joe Kreider 1254 ATW," on the upper right corner of the cover. Yellow spiral bound. 10-1/2" x 8-1/4". MEASUREMENTS: Frames ranging in size from 8-1/2" x 10-1/2" to 14-3/4" x 11-3/4". CONDITION: Some minor wear to log book, consistent with age.
