Evangelist, and former baseball player, who preached a fundamentalist theology in a highly flamboyant style. TLS signed “Wm. Sunday,” one page, 8.5 x 11, The Newport News Evangelistic Campaign letterhead, dated 3/17/1925. Letter written to Ren Mulford, who is a famous early baseball reporter starting in 1888 with Sporting World and credited for coining the term" Fan". Letter from Sunday is about Mulford being syndicated and receiving the tittle Emeritus.
