Robert Lawrence “Bobby” Layne (December 19, 1926 - December 1, 1986) (QB/PK) was one of the greatest quarterbacks the University of Texas ever produced as he compiled 3,145 passing yards on 210 completions in 400 attempts. He also threw two no-hitters as a pitcher for the Longhorns baseball team. Bobby was named an All-American and was consistently among the Heisman candidates while at UT. The Chicago Bears drafted Layne with the third overall pick in the 1948 NFL Draft.
Bobby Layne was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1968.With One Of A Kind Collectibles COA.
