Scarce matte-finish 7 x 10 photo of Dylan with actors Rupert Everett and Fiona Flanagan on the set of the 1987 film Hearts of Fire, signed and inscribed in black ballpoint, “To Jerry, Best Wishes, Bob Dylan.” Reverse bears the photographer’s credit stamp of David Appleby. In fine condition, with one mild crease near the center. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. The film, a musical drama that cast Dylan as a reclusive rock star, received poor reviews upon its limited release and was later written off by Dylan himself. Signed photos of Dylan are very scarce—true to form as a reclusive rock star—and this example boasts a large signature and especially clear, high quality image.
