ALS on letterhead of National Governors’ Conference, Seattle 1974 and dated 6-5-74. This is a fine example of then Governor Carter’s effort to establish good relations with the press. It is written to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Spivak. Spivak was the founder and moderator of Meet the Press. In this full page 8 ½ x 5 ½” letter, he writes, “Rosalynn & I look forward to your visit to Georgia and we can arrange any kind of schedule you desire – just provided that you stay with us at the mansion. Also be sure to let us know when your granddaughter is coming to Atlanta. We also want her to stay with us while she is getting settled in Ga.” Signed “Jimmy”.
