Kennedy, John F. (1917-1953). President of the United States (1961-1963). TLS as Senator, 1 p., "United States Senate Committee on Labor and Public Welfare." April 14, 1953. Addressed to Orville Swett Poland. Kenned responds to Poland about his letter concerning an open seat on the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank. Kennedy writes in part" I know of no one who will be more effective in the job than you, therefore I will do everything that I can. (Orville Swett Poland), became general counsel of the House Committee on Government Operations from 1955 to 1961. Fine condition.
