Letters from the two famous naturalist. John Burroughs ALS dated April 11(No Year) to a lady friend of his talking about having her come visit by Rail Road and how she is doing as well as traveling during the winter. John Burroughs (April 3, 1837 – March 29, 1921) was an American naturalist and nature essayist, active in the U.S. conservation movement. Burbanks letter is typed to Lenox Curtis, President, Canadian Camp, New York City, dated December 18, 1913, in which he declined the request to attend a Banquet signed by Luther Burbank. Burbank (1849-1926 American;botanist),Eminent American horticulturist and researcher (1849–1926) credited with developing hundreds of plant varieties and hybrids, including the spineless cactus, the Shasta daisy, and the Burbank potato.
