King of Prussia (born 1795) who reigned from 1840 until his death in 1861; he is best remembered for the numerous buildings he had constructed in Berlin and Potsdam, as well as for the completion of the Gothic Cologne cathedral. Untranslated portion of LS in German, signed “Frederick Wilhelm,” one page, 8.5 x 10, July 4, 1820. Nice bold signature. Also signature from Roman Emperor Joseph II Letter Signed "Joseph". Joseph Benedikt August Johannes Anton Michel Adam (1741-1790) was Holy Roman Emperor from 1765 to 1790 and ruler of the Habsburg lands from 1780 to 1790. He was the eldest son of Empress Maria Theresa and her husband, Francis I. Joseph was a proponent of enlightened absolutism. A very bold signature
