Italian tenor who was an early recording artist and the foremost Metropolitan Opera attraction for a generation. ALS in Italian, signed “E. Caruso,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, Hotel Cecil letterhead, June 2, 1905. Letter to a friend. In full, “I regret having to send you again a picture from “Rigoletto” as I do not have any others. Do not forget to send me the newspapers. They told me that a few 1ys ago there was on the Figaro' a correspondence from her about me. If you could find it, I would be very happy if you could send it to me.”
