Ford, Henry: Fine bold fountain pen signature in program to honor Judge Christopher Stein for his forty years of faithful service to the city of Detroit. This was held at the Book-Cadillac Hotel, Sept. 5, 1940. Includes archive of event. Program also signed by judge Stein who also played professional baseball with his brother Edward in the 1890's, prior to entering the world of politics and law. Edward F. Stein played pitcher for the Chicago Colts and Brooklyn Grooms/Bridegrooms of the National League from 1890 to 1898. Interesting piece of Detroit History.
