This is a highly desirable rare signature on an off white 4"x6"album page of Charlie Parker. The page comes from an album dating to the early 1940's. The page is also signed on the same side by renowned Adele Girard the reknowned Jazz harpist and her husband Joe Marsala the great Jazz clarinetist. The other side of the album page is also signed by musicians from the Merry Mac group Merry Macs Judd McMichael, Marjory Garland ,(?)Lyman Allen, Howard Storey, Bud Roks, Alan Pogson (Rascal) From the Rascals Harmonica Group.
Charles Parker, Jr. (August 29, 1920 – March 12, 1955), also known as "Yardbird" and "Bird", was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Parker was a highly influential jazz soloist and a leading figure in the development of bebop, a form of jazz characterized by fast tempos, virtuosic technique and improvisation.
