Evangelist, and former baseball player, who preached a fundamentalist theology in a highly flamboyant style. TLS signed “Wm. Sunday,” one page, 8.5 x 11, The Newport News Evangelistic Campaign letterhead, dated Oct, 14,1910. Letter written to Ren Mulford, who is a famous early baseball reporter starting in 1888 with Sporting World and credited for coining the term" Fan". Letter from Sunday is about visiting with Mulford when he is visiting Cincinnati and in part : “ he should attend our services…..and you advertising fellows are usually running on such high tension that you need to slow up” Also accompanied with a early photo portrait postcard of Sunday to Mulford, form someone with initials L.J.
