DS, signed "I. Thalberg" and "Col. Tim McCoy," eleven pages, 8.5 x 13, May 4, 1926. Agreement between Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Tim McCoy, employing the actor "to render his exclusive services…in the business of producing motion pictures." Neatly signed at the conclusion in a fountain pen by Thalberg and countersigned by McCoy. Stapled into its original blue paper folder and in fine condition.Likely McCoy's Second contract grooming him for his future as a Western Star! Irving Thalberg (1899–1936) was a visionary Hollywood producer for MGM, often called the 'Boy Wonder' due to his youth and talent, who helped shape the Golden Age of cinema with classics like Grand Hotel and Mutiny on the Bounty. He 'discovered' cowboy entertainer Tim McCoy and hired him to star in a series of outdoor adventures, beginning with the silent Western film War Paint in 1926.
