Excellent pairing of two prominent New York political figures—Thomas E. Dewey and Alfred E. Smith.
Two-page typed letter signed by Alfred E. Smith as Governor of New York, dated July 20, 1927, on official Executive Chamber letterhead. Addressed to Henry Woodhouse, President of the Aerial League of America, the letter pays tribute to pioneering aviators such as Lindbergh, Chamberlin, and Byrd. Smith eloquently expresses admiration for their achievements in transoceanic flight, viewing them as symbols of international unity and human advancement. The letter remains in very good condition with light toning and expected mailing folds.
Included is a vintage matte-finish 8" x 10" portrait photograph of Thomas E. Dewey, boldly signed in black ink beneath the image. The photo exhibits scattered creasing with one going left to right through his eyes, but is in otherwise fine condition. With JSA Cert.
