An elegant presentation of a typed letter signed by George H. W. Bush as Vice President, dated April 3, 1986, on official "The Vice President – Washington" letterhead. Addressed to Dr. Edward J. Mortola, Chancellor of Pace University, the letter offers warm congratulations on the opening of the university’s Oral History Library and praises its 3,000-tape archive chronicling 25 years of political and diplomatic history.

Bush’s neatly signed signature appears boldly beneath the closing. The letter measures 7.75" x 9.75" and is matted alongside a classic black-and-white portrait of a younger Bush holding a telephone, both housed in an attractive frame measuring 15.5" x 19.5".
