James C. Fargo, Typed Letter Signed as President of the American Express Company, on official letterhead, dated March 21, 1901, New York, measuring 8.5 x 11 inches.

TLS addressed to Mr. E. H. Paddock, Agent at Dundee, New York, regarding bank money orders. In the letter, Fargo refers to prior correspondence and notes that two five-dollar drafts requested for purchase have not yet been received by the company’s treasurer. He requests immediate attention to the matter, along with an explanation for the delay and the return of an enclosed newspaper clipping. 

James C. Fargo (May 5, 1829 – February 8, 1915) was a president of the American Express Company for 30 years, and the brother of American Express Company and Wells Fargo co-founder, William Fargo.
