Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Items Incl ALS & Multiple Autographs

Included is an autograph letter signed “Henry W. Longfellow,” one page (two sides), Cambridge, March 3, 1864, addressed to a female correspondent: “It gives me much pleasure to comply with your request. On the next page you will find a few lines with my signature, which I hope will please you.” Nicely penned in his characteristic brown ink.

Also included are two autograph sentiment cards signed “Henry W. Longfellow,” each reading respectively “Yours very kindly” and “Yours truly,” in fine, clear hands, and a fine engraved portrait.

Light overall toning and faint creasing to the letter with expected folds; ink remains bold and dark. The additional signature items are clean and well preserved with minimal age wear. Overall very good to fine.
