Two-page 8.5" x 11" signed copy of the official Dallas Police Department report from November 22, 1963, documenting the apprehension of Lee Harvey Oswald following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the murder of Officer J. D. Tippit. The document features signatures of officers directly involved in the arrest.

Addressed to Chief of Police J. E. Curry, the report provides a detailed chronological account beginning with the initial radio alert, the investigation at the Tippit crime scene, eyewitness descriptions of the suspect, and the coordinated manhunt culminating in Oswald’s arrest inside the Texas Theatre. The narrative records the violent struggle during the arrest, including Oswald’s attempt to fire a concealed revolver, the intervention of multiple officers, injuries sustained, and the securing of the weapon and ammunition.

The report formally identifies Oswald by name, age, and race, assigns the offense number, and records his transfer to the Homicide and Robbery Bureau. Signed at the conclusion in ink by Sergeant Gerald L. Hill, Ray Hawkins, Paul Bentley, and M. N. McDonald.
