Typed letter signed by Alexander Graham Bell, dated March 20, 1916, on his personal letterhead, with his name printed at top left and telephone number "North 166" listed at top right. Addressed to Mrs. Robert E. Wyatt of East Cleveland, Ohio, Bell courteously responds to her request with:
"In response to your note of recent date and the request that it contains I have pleasure in handing you my autograph hereon."
Boldly signed in fountain pen "Alexander Graham Bell" at the close. Bell is best known as the inventor of the telephone, as well as a prominent scientist, educator of the deaf, and co-founder of the National Geographic Society.
Single page, 8.5" x 11", typed in blue ink.
